Mission Hills Homes & Real Estate

Mount Lebanon’s Mission Hills is not only one of this community’s oldest neighborhoods but also one of its most beautiful. Developed beginning in the early 1920’s by a prominent local real estate developer, Lawrence T. Stevenson, the streets of Mission Hills were laid out along the contours of this softly rolling landscape, once an orchard. A wide strip of park land divides the streets at the main entrance to Mission Hills, providing the outstanding 1920’s and 30’s homes to each side with wonderful vistas and setting the tone for the neighborhood. Mature trees and manicured landscapes add to the character. A range of remarkable examples of architectural styles from that era exist here…Tudors, Dutch and Georgian colonials, bungalows, four squares, even an Italianate. These homes are rich in original detail, inside and out, lovingly maintained and restored by owners who take great pride in preserving the historical significance of this neighborhood.

Jefferson, Orchard, Parkway and Mission Drives comprise the neighborhood of Mission Hills, and its main entrance can be accessed from Washington Road. Mission Hills is located just blocks from the shops, restaurants and services in Uptown Mt. Lebanon.

Mission Hills is serviced by Washington Elementary School, Mellon Middle School, and Mount Lebanon High School.
